Rachel Presutti, Providence Class of 2016, attended Providence from Pre-K 3 through her high school graduation in 2016. The following Fall she began her baking and pastry education in Charlotte, North Carolina at Johnson & Wales University. The summer between her freshman and sophomore years, she worked as a pastry cook at One Ocean Resort & Spa in Atlantic Beach. Throughout her first two years at JWU, the curriculum led her to take both academic and lab classes in the kitchen.
The following summer, Rachel was accepted to the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie Program in France. She studied abroad with 19 other students selected from all four JWU campuses. Rachel came and shared her expertise in pastries with the Top Chef Summer Camp in the summer of 2019. That summer, Rachel was hired to work at the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach. In February of 2020, she will be graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Baking and Pastry Arts/Food Service Management.
